Middlesex County

Middlesex County, as its name suggests, is in the middle of so many things. Whether it’s the coast line of Clinton, or picturesque views of the Connecticut River in Essex. Of course, many lovely farms and agricultural events find their home here too. Of note is the largest agricultural fair in CT: Durham County Fair that has been running for more than a century. It highlights not just carnival rides and cotton candy, but the hard work of local farmers in raising the best vegetables, having the most pristine fiber producing sheep, or the ideal dairy cow. Many of these folks at the fair are farmers you can support and visit year round, and we hope that you do!
